More enthusiasm than usual was manifested among the citizens on Monday for the election of School Trustee. The votes cast were 130 for Amos Draper and 95 for E. D. Anderson. Joseph L. Jolley is at home after three months journeying in Idaho. Mrs. Carrie Seymour of the Utah Glass Company made a visit to Moroni with two civil engineers last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Mertelu? Draper are mourning the loss of their babe which succumbed to whooping cough last Thursday morning. Funeral services were held at the Relief Society Hall Friday afternoon. On Wednesday last Byron Anderson Ander-son fell from Peter Olsen's new house and broke his leg. John L. Louritzen a graduate in Agriculture at the A. C. spent the past week at home. - Mr. Horace Almond, Mr. Parlej Draper and Mr. and Mrs. FranP Bradley made a trip to Salt Lake or Thursday in an automobile. Mr, and Mrs. Wilford Tidwell and Mrs. Gilbert Baily returned with them or Sunday. Mrs. Louis Peterson of Salt Lake, formerly of Mexico, arrived Saturday Satur-day to visit Mrs. Naney Harvey. Miss Grace Preswich gave a delightful de-lightful entertaiument for a numbei of her friends Thursday evening in honor of her birthday. Ephraim Nelson returned Saturday Satur-day from a business visit at Salt Lake City. The Bachelor baseball team challenged chal-lenged the Senior Bloomer Girls for a supper. The game took place Friday and was the cause of intense interest and merriment for both the players and onlookers. The score was 21 for the Bachelors and 24 for the Bloomers. The Bachelors entertained at a delicious banquet served at the Eliason House after the dance that night. The players were: Bloomers . Harvey returned Wednesday to her home in Salt Lake where she will leave on Saturday, for amonths visit in Idaho. The Primary Association spent a p'easant afternoon on Monday at a little grove south of town. All took part in lively games and cooling refreshments. Tuesday evening the Y. L. M. I. A. entertained a large number of mothers at the Tabernacle. A short, interesting program was rendered, and delicious refreshments were served. Born to the wife of Heber Christensen, Chris-tensen, a girl, July 10th. |
