Show The Weeks Doings. The Home Culture Club met with Mrs. Abner Crane Tuesday affernoon March 18th. Dr. Stocks was present and gave a most instructive talk on "Eugenics". Miss Thelma Sutton rendered some fine musical selections on the piano. The hostess served a delicious luncheon and the club adjourned. ad-journed. At the previous meeting held at the home of Mrs. J. W. McGann, March 4th, the following officers were elected: Mrs. A. D. Sutton, President; Miss Jane Martin, Vice-President; Vice-President; Mis. H. LcRoy Nielson, Secretary and Treasurer. Mrs Nielson Niel-son gave the lecture on "Athens" and Miss Martin gave the Art lesson in Sculpture. The hostess served a delicious luncheon. A kitchen shower was tendered at the home of Mrs. Dr. J. C. Stocks last Wednesday eveningi in honor of her s:ster Mrs. Ernest Hansen, who was recently married . in Salt Lake City. The event was-one continual round of merriment. Those who participated in the evening's pleasures pleas-ures were the Misses Minnie Christensen, Chris-tensen, Ada Jensen, Valentine Lai-sen, Lai-sen, and Eliza Staker, also Mesdames Andrew Larsen, J. C. Stocks, D. D. Tebbs, Andrew Knudsen and C. W. Sorensen, together with Madam Kunkel of Baltimore, Madam Ma'-aca Ma'-aca from Honolulu, Madam Moor-plitz Moor-plitz from Chicago, Madam Greenhorn Green-horn of San Francisco and Madam Anartica from Bountiful. Te hostess hos-tess who was assisted by Mrs. C. W. Sorensen, Mrs. Hansen and Ma'ata, served a very dainty luncheon. Many good and useful kitchen utensils were presented to the newly-weds. |
