Show MILBURN Arthur Wheeler had his collar bone broken while playing ball last week. Eli Robinson of Springville is a visitor for a short time at the home of William E. Mower. Grace Edmunds, Marcella Lasson and Rowena Day of Fairview were Milburn visitors Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shand and family fam-ily of Manti came up in their car last week and are visiting at the home of Mrs. Elnora Jenkins. i Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Allred and : Mrs. Martin Allred of Fairview were visiting at the home of George Wheeler Tuesday. Mrs. E'.anora Stewart and Mrs. John Houskeeper left Friday for : Manti and Elsinore where they will j vifcit relatives for a few days. Last w eek two political meetings were heid here. Harvy Cluff of Provo gave a very interesting speech at a Republican rally Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon and Thursday evening George Christensen, L. P. Brady and Thomas Drage spoke at a Democrat rally. The Hallowe'en party given by the Utility club Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Wilford Graham was very successful. The reception room was tastefully decorated with. Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en decorations and lighted with Jack-'O-Lanterns. In one corner of the room was arranged the witch's bower where a witch sat telling the fortunes of those who were anxious to learn what the future had in store for them. Ghosts and goblins appeared ap-peared in unexpected places. The guests were entertained with ail sorts of appropriate games, and at midnight mid-night a very tempting supper was served. Covers were laid for twenty-four. twenty-four. The dining room w-as decorated decorat-ed in pink and white, the club colors. The table was beautifully arranged; a goblin stood in the center and black cats stood sentinel at each end of the table. A tiny caudle with holder ; burned by each cover. Those who assisted in serving the supper were Mesdames Harry Sutton, Preston Stewart. Otis Stewart, Elnora, Jenkins, Jen-kins, Wilford Graham and Miss Irene Edmunds. |
