Show The National Irrigation Congress Salt'Lake, Aug 22nd.-- J. Edward Ed-ward Taylor, state horticultural commissioner, who, is a member of the Exhibits Committee of the National Na-tional Irrigation Congress, has been collec-ing and preparing the exhibits for the Congress and reports that that this feature of the Congress will undoubtedly be presented on' a bigger scale than at any previous session. "Utah has won many prizes for exhibits at former Irrigation Congresses held in the other states and it has been my pleasure to have been closely associated with the col lection and presentation of most of these Exhibit" said Mr. Taylor. " The fact that this state has carried off the honors when it was necessary to ship products to Sacramento, Albuquerque or even more distant points, is an argument in favor of the superior excellence of our Exhibit Ex-hibit for the Twentieth Congress here in our own state." Exhibits of fruits and perishable products of irrigated farms are being packed carefully and placed in cold storage until the opening of the Irrigation Congress September 30. Grains and products which do not require cold storage are being selected and prepared for Exhibit purposes as they reach maturity and the collection, representing every county in the state, will be show at the State Fair Grounds. Interest in the parade and Electrical Elec-trical pageant to be given on the evening of September 30 is general throughout the state and several counties have already begun work preparatory to providing floats representing their resources. |
