Show DRY FARMERS WILL HARVEST GOOD CROP O. F. Wall came down from Iu-dianola Iu-dianola Thursday and while here he stated that the dry farmers' were getting ready for harvesting. This year the spring grain is not so good as it was last year, but the fall grain is doing very well, most of the land probably yielding twenty or more bushels per acre. The Mount Pleasant farmers have about 1,000 acres planted this year and it is expected that they will reap about 20,000 bushels. The dry farming business is making mak-ing great strides during the past few years. Only seven years ago there were 24 acres in all planted to dry grain. Now there are fully 1,000 acres farmed under this systom in this same locality. |
