Show Mrs. Eliza Haws Died At Teton Mrs. Eliza Robecca Haws of Teton Idaho, died at her home from cancer can-cer of the stomach, Monday August 18th, at 5 p. m. Mrs. Haws was born in Nauvoo, Illinois April 14, 1842. She came across the plains when a small girl. In the year 1857 she was married to Duncan McArthur and came to Mt. Pleasant in 1860. They made their home in this city for many years, living on the block near the place where the present Post Office is located. lo-cated. Sne was the mother of ten children and was married three times during her life. Her second husband was Perry McArthur. Her children were: Mrs. E. K. Barton, Mrs. S. E. Jensen, Jen-sen, Alice, Ermina, Ernest, Arthur, Mrs. Ira Howard of Teton, Idaho, Roswell, Lewis and Susan. Funeral services were held on Wednesday the 20th, at Teton. Bishop Bis-hop Johnson and Judge Donaldson were the speakers. A large attendance attend-ance of friends and relatives were present. Those of her children who went from Mount Pleasant to attend at-tend the funeral were Mrs. S. E. Jensen, Roswell and Ernest McArthur. McArth-ur. Mrs. Haws was a woman of many friends and highly respected by all her associates. She was .strong and healthy during her life up until the time when death was near. |
