Show jj Fairvtew 't . J On Tuesday evening an interest-i interest-i ntc and amusing debute was held under the auspices of the M I. A. Women'sSufferaire o whsth er women wom-en should vote-was the question, Misses Hazel De-Fries and Isahelle Hogan took the affirmative and E. A. Day, jr., and LeRoss Christensen the negative side. The question was decided de-cided in favor of the ladies. Other features of the program were: Current Cur-rent even's by Miss Lucy Brady, music by S. W. Mower and Co., and aduet byMr. and Mrs. E. A. Day, jr. A large audience enjoyed the progiain. On Friday a family dinner parly was given at the home of Mrs. Alma Miner, in honor of Mr. and Mis. J-mrs Lirsen. In the evening a social so-cial was given for the young folk-, over thirty guests were present. Supper Sup-per was served and a pleasant evening even-ing spent. Many hands'.. ne present were j. iven. . . . , ... Hyrum DeFries who has spent the pat seven months in Phoenix, Arizona, Ari-zona, returned home last week. He brings a glowing of the country and its resources. He wili reur-iio here a couple of months and then return with his famiiy to Ariznn where he expects to make his hem-.-. Mrs. Louisa Clement of Mesa, Arizona, is visiting her son and other oth-er relatives here. Mrs. Clyde Howell Pherson, and Mrs. Stella Jensen Williams came from Idaho 'as' week. They will visit relatives for a month or more. Mrs. Mary Cornum of Sanford, Colorado, is the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Brady anil other oth-er relatives. Mrs. Millie Ferbush returned to her home at Union this week, having spent the past ton days visiting relatives rel-atives a..d friends. A small infant of Mi. and Mrs. Rueben White, died at Clear Creek this week and was brought to Fair-view Fair-view for burial. Mrs. White was formerly Miss Lillian Mower. 3 1 OTIIBMI IIHIWIIWI j Timothy J. Fowles will leave for ! a mission to England Oct. 12th. He i and his mother, Mrs Sarah Fowles are spending the week working in the Manti Temple. Clifton Anderson went to Provo i Sunday where he A-ill attend the B. Y. U. Linden and Will Pritchett I and Cleon Anderson started to school j at the Snow Academy last week, j A large and enthusiaf tic Democra-! Democra-! tic Rally was held at the Zenith Tuesday Tues-day evening. Hon. Math.miah Thomas Thom-as and Geo. Christensen were the speakers. Mrs. Mary Thompson of Montana is the guest of her sister, Mrs. O'ive Piitchetl and Mrs. Nancy Cox. C. L Pritchett, Manager of the Fairview Mercantile is in Salt Lake and while there was taken very ill and was operated upon for appendicitis appendi-citis on Tuesday the 8th.
