Show Mrs. Jens Jensen Dead Mrs. Treaney Jensen, one of Mt. Pleasani's early pioneers, was summoned sum-moned by the call of death last Sunday Sun-day evening Oct. 6th. Mrs. Jensen was born near Copenhagen Copen-hagen in Denmark, on the 15th day of August, 1825. She became a member mem-ber of the Latter Day Saints church on April 6. 1854, and emigrated to America November 24, 1854, and arrived ar-rived at Salt Lake City, Sept. 7, 1855. She was among the first who came to Mount Pleasart in the year 1859 and was also one who took part in attempting to settle Richfield in the time of the Indian troubles. After one year she returned to Mount Pleasant and remained, making this her home. She lost her first husband and child while crossing the plains, but was married again in 1856 to Jens Jensen. Jen-sen. She is survived by four children: chil-dren: Mrs. Andrew Madsen of Spring City, Mrs. J. F. Jensen, Peter and Francis Jensen of this city. Funeral services were held Thursday Thurs-day afternoon at the North Ward meeting-house. Wm. Olsen, Jacob Jensen and Pres. C. N. Lund were the speakers, each paying tributes to her noble character and the good life she lived Sacred mbsic was furnished by the choir and a solo rendered by I. E. Jorgensen.
