Show BEE BUSINESS BAD Utah bee-keepers have just completed com-pleted the 1914 honey crop. According Accord-ing to the Bureau of Crop Estimates of the United States Department of Agriculture, the yield per colony of bees was 65 pounds. In 1913 the production per hive was 70 pounds. The decrease is said to be due to the shortage of the wild flower crop this season. The latest census figures of the bee and honey industry of this State re- late to 1910. That year there were 1,873 farms in Utah that kept bees and the total number of colonies was 26,185. I |
