Show FARMERS HOLD DISTRICT UNION MEETINGS HERE At 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, January 22nd, 1915, a meeting was held at the High School of 3 3 delegates dele-gates from the different locals of the Farmers' Society of Equity in North Sanpete. There were 6 from Fair-view, Fair-view, 5 from Spring City, 6 from Moroni, 4 from Fountain Green, 4 from Wales and 8 from Mount Pleasant. Pleas-ant. O. F. Wall was chosen temporary tempor-ary chairman; John S. Blain, temporary tem-porary secretary of the meeting. John S. Blain of Spring City gave a spirited talk on how the Farmers' organization may succeed as a District Dis-trict Union. P. J. Petersen of Moroni Mor-oni talked upon the question of how farmers can co-operate as a district in the livestock business. His talk was filled with enthusiasm and he said the farmers have for a long time wanted just such an organization organiza-tion as the Farmers' Society of Epui-ty. Epui-ty. And it was his belief that it had come to stay. LeRoy Rigby, president presi-dent of the Fairview local spoke in-teretsingly in-teretsingly on the question of "How Farmers may Co-operate as a District in the Dairy Business." C. W. Sor-ensen Sor-ensen of the Mount Pleasant local spoke very interestingly on the Dry Farming industry. He was followed by National organizor, A. Y. Satter-field Satter-field of Pocatello, Idaho, who spoke on the question of Farm Machinery, Vehicles, etc., and how they can buy co-operatively. Seven directors were elected to preside over the district for one year. These directors will be intrusted with the business of the North Sanpete San-pete district. The following are the elected directors: O. F. Wall of Mount Pleasant, John S. Blain of Spring City, P. J. Peterson of Moroni, Mor-oni, Joseph Seely of Mount Pleasant, LeRoy Lewis of Wales, Leltoy Rig-by Rig-by of Fairview and J. H. Mickkelson of Fountain Green. These directors met Monday, January 2!ith 1915, and selected C. T. Drage as their manager man-ager and outlined their plans for the future of the North Sanpete district.
