Show Wasatch 9, All Stars 0 The first game of the season for Wasatch was played last Thursday afternoon on the Wasatch field. While it was only a practice game : some real football was seen. Only four of the Wasatch team had ! fver played before and only five had 1 ever witnessed a game, so it was a new experience tor most of the boys. Webb, Airmet and Slocks did the best work for the academy, while Moorman, McKirahan and Frank Hurst starred for the other team. The academy scored in the second quarter when Airmet drop-kicked from the twenty yard line, and again in the fourth quarter when Webb carried the ball across for a touchdown. touch-down. Airmet missed goal. The game closed with the ball in possession posses-sion of the academy on the all-stars one yard line. Both teams were s:ow lining up and slow getting their plays started. However, considering the fact that so many of the academy boys had never played before, they did exceptionally well. If the boys train and practice regularly a strong team is assured. |
