Show AMERICAN CHILDREN PETITION FOR PEACE . r MlK ,Jifel4 iJCu :-d' W?- -Xj A petition addressed to the rulers of the warring European nations signed by 350,000 school children of forty-ive forty-ive of the United States was presented to Secretary Bryan by twelve little girls of the Washington public schools. It asked for an immediate armistice to lay the troubles of each nation before The Hague tribunal for settlement. The petition with all the names attached measured nearly three miles In length. Standing with Secretary Bryan in the picture is Ambassador R. S. Naon of Argentina. |
