Show Mrs. George Ryland entertained Saturday evening at a farewell party for Newt Rabensburg, preceding his departure for Texas. . The Rebekah lodge members and a few in ti male friends were invited. The evening was enjoyably spent in card gauic-u and dancing. Price Advocate. State Treasurer, Jesse Jewkcs, was in Price the other day on his return to Salt Lake City from Orangeville, where he went to attend the celebration celebra-tion and family reunion, February 19 an occasion of the eighty-fifth birthday birth-day of his mother, Mrs. Mary Jewkes. There were 135 members of the family fam-ily present, covering lour generations and the old lady gave a review of her life. She is a native of London, Eur., and came to Utah in 1849. Although so advanced in years, she retains full possession of her faculties, can read without glasses, and moves about without difficulty. Her husband died in 1900, aged 77. Price Advocate. |
