Show ! State Health Officer Here I C. F. Emery of the State Board of Health paid Mt. Pleasant an official visit last Wednesday and Thursday. I The purpose of his being here was to inspect the City Water System and the sanitary condition of our water supply as well as that of the city in general. The co-operation of the State health officials in giving aid to the local health board was assured. No effort will be spared to enforce the'law re-Ispecting re-Ispecting the protection of streams I from contamination of disease germs, I due to sheep and 'other animals po-; po-; luting our streams. Our Queen city was given credit for its sanitary ; condition and all citizens are again ; asked to keep out-houses, pig-pens j and corrals cleaned up. Sprinkle I freely lime, and fewer flies will ap-'pear, ap-'pear, until month after month they j will a'most entirely disappear. The house fly is man's worst ene-! ene-! my, it carries more disease germs ;into our food and into our system, j thereby causing more deaths than i the weapons of war. I In Tooele county several are work-I work-I ing for the prize and one man has ! caught 115 quarts of flies and anoth-j anoth-j er over 100 quarts, j Let us lend our united efforts each ! in doing all within his power to pre-! pre-! vent our inhabitants from sickness i and the spread of disease. |
