Show jj Moroni HIGH SCHOOL NOTES. The faculty was well paid for its efforts put forth to have a good cio -ing of school for the holidavs. Tui s day's exercises were certainly a success. suc-cess. Many school patrons attended the General Assembly Tuesday morn ing at 9:50 o'clock. The progran was as follows: 1. Selection from Lucia, De Lan -mermore, School Orchestra. 2. Reading, A Soft Spot in B 606, Miss Edmunds. 3. Vocal Solo, Jerusalem, Edna Hardy. 4. Poem by Tennyson, Christmas Bells, Miss Perkins. 5. Anthem, And There Were Shepherds, Vocal Class. The rendition of every part was excellent and much appreciated b. the audience. The day ended with a grand ball in the evtning at the Assembly hal . Both old and young cam-' i'Ut, and i was indeed the bingest and must enjoyable en-joyable dance ever given by the school. The orchestra was at its bes the punch delicious and the decorations decora-tions most elaborate. The English department is rejoicing rejoic-ing over the addition to the school library of seventy rive volumes of bi ographyand fiction.. The purchase has been made possible by individual contributions from the students who are taking a interest in the oppoi tu-.lities tu-.lities afforded by good books. |
