Show High School Notes j t i R. owtid ny X. S. H. S. StuJnU ! Tiie p'li pote of the high school is mainly for the benefit of graduatt-s from grade schools. It is to instill in their minds the things which may Letter them in life. It is to teach them high morals as well as to prepare pre-pare them for further education. A person may educate himself without going to school but it is difficult for him to do so. He may start some study, but he lacks encourag-.-ment. In school he comes in contact with other students who may see things different and by arguing the subject he will gain knovvle'lge from his opponent. op-ponent. Many think the high school is merely to prepare the students to teach so he can make an easy living. This is entirely erroneous for the ones now earning salaries have spent many valuable hour3 in reaching that stage. The high school prepares a person to face many things in life which he probably could not, had he not gone to high school and studied out the conditions of every day life. It teaches the student self action. The high school in general is to make the character of the student as near ideal as possible. Most students while in high school establish estab-lish an aim in life for which they are constantly striving. The N. S. H. S. is for this purpose and is earnest ly working to fulfill it. We as students and teachers, welcome wel-come all North Sanpete or other young people who have not graduat ed from the grades and who are willing to put forth their best efforts in school work respecting all other students who are earnestly working for the same end.
