Show A Very Generous Offering North Ward Week at the Melba. The management of the Melba Thtatre has made a very generous offering in giving, for the benefit of the North Ward Meeting House, all the net proceeds over and above the actual running expenses of the Melba Theatre fur one entire week beginning begin-ning Monday, October 20th, and ending Saturday night, October 25. On several occassions the management manage-ment of the Melba has given freely to the public good; once a night was given for the benefit of the North Ward, another for the benefit of sending Miss Virginia Gilbert to the Snow Acaleny to lecei-e srec'al tiaining in Kindergarten work, a -other for Mrs. Renberg, one for Arthur Ar-thur Neilson while on a mission in Sweden and others have been given. The program for Monday will be: The Web. Vitagraph two reel headliner. A Shower of Slippers. Comedy-funny Comedy-funny doings. Tuesday and Wednesday. The Queen cf Spades. Part 1 and 2r an emotional story of self denial and sacrifice. Love in the Ghetto. A comedy tale of the melting pot. Thursday and Friday. In the Days of War. A two reel special gripping story of General Grant and the days of the Civil WTar showing the hardships, privatations, loveB, hatreds ane marvelous escapt s of the soldiers of the Blue and the Gray. Country Sparkings. An excellent comedy. Here is a pleasant chance for the people of Mt. Pleasant to contribute a nice little sum of $100 or more towards to-wards defraying the expenses in-cured in-cured by remodeling the North Ward Meeting House. Be at the Melba all next week beginning be-ginning Monday and enjoy one continuous con-tinuous round of amusement while building a meeting house. |
