Show I FOUNTAIN GREEN j 1 By Special Correspondence I Junior Chamber of Commerce Organized at Fountain Green Fountain Green has seen the need of a Junior Chamber of Commerce, a very worthwhile organization. or-ganization. Monday evening a meeting was called for that purpose and the following officers were selected for later election: Lloyd Hansen, Han-sen, chairman; Cleve Johnson, Secretary; Constitution Committee, Commit-tee, Gayle Yorganson, Elmo Anderson, And-erson, Clair Ivory, Doyce Oldroyd. Membership Committee: Owen Christensen, Eugene Syme, Dar-ryl Dar-ryl Williams and Pershing Cook. Prominent Couple Mark Their 55th Wedding Annsversarv , Sunday marked the 55th wedding wed-ding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Niels Christiansen, prominent members of the Fountain Green ward, where they have lived through out their entire married life. The day was spent in Nephi Canyon, where all their children met to observe the day with them. They are: Mrs. Amy Samuels, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Mary Dansie, Salt Lake City; Delbert Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, Springville, Utah; Ralph Christiansen, Garvey, California; Randle Christiansen, Fountain Green and Don Christiansen, Nephi, Ne-phi, Utah; 33 desendants were present, also friends from Ogden. Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah. A fine luncheon was prepared. Later they were entertained at the homes of members of the family. Moron Primary Stake Board Member Honored The Moroni Stake Board members mem-bers entertained at a most delightful de-lightful surprise party Sunday evening honoring Mrs. Hyrum Lund, a board member, on her 71st birthday anniversary. After the usual "Happy Birthday To You," she was presented with a book, "The Vision," by Lundwell. The. remainder of the evening was spent in contest singing, games, etc. A delicious luncheon was served by the following board members: Mrs. La Von Coombs, Stake President; Macel Anderson, Second Counselor; Merlene Morgan, Mor-gan, Secretary. Velda Jackson, Chorister; Evelyn Johnson, Organist; Or-ganist; Vera Johnson, Deon Anderson, And-erson, Florence Aagard, Advisers for lesson work. First Counselor, Rhoda Robertson was excused be cause of the arrival of a baby boy whom the Stake Board members mem-bers are happy to welcome as a new Board Member. Fountain Green Boy Meets With Automobile Accident Ned Robertson met with a serious seri-ous automobile acident Saturday evening on the newly graveled highway just South of town. He was rushed to a hospital where they found he received severe lacerations of the head, one ear nearly severed and loss of blood. Reports are that he is improving rapidly. Social News Mr. and Mrs. Roy Christiansen received a telegram Monday from their son, Kenner Christiansen that he had landed safely in New York and would be seeing them soon, Mickey Ann, the little daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Livingston Livings-ton of Moroni is visiting with her grandmother, Mrs. Lena Livingston. Livings-ton. Eddie Hafen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Hafen of Mt. Pleasant is visiting at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Anderson. Mrs. Elaine Hubbard of Salt Lake City is visiting with her mother, Mrs. Verle Hill. Mr. Loyd Frandsen of Ogden, Utah was a Fountain Green visitor vis-itor during the week. Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Mikkelson and daughter, Dorothy and Mrs. Caroline Llewellyn were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Mikelson Saturday in Ephraim, Utah. Mrs. Edith Allison and Mrs. Ercel Olsen of Monroe visited with relatives during the week. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Anderson of Wales, Utah visited Sunday in Fountain Green with relatives. Miss Lucile Jensen was a Salt Lake City visitor of the week. Mrs. Ella Johnson of Los Angeles, An-geles, California is visiting with iplatives and frineds in Fountain Green. A large number of people from Fountain Green attended the wedding reception Wednesday evening in Moroni oi uari "e Christensen, daughter of Henry Christensen of Moroni and Doyce Crowther, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Crowather of Fountain Green. Club News Mrs. Theora Anderson delightfully delight-fully entertained the Gloom I'us-ters'members I'us-ters'members Friday afternoon at a hot dinner. All members were present. The Birthday Chubbers enjoyed an outing Friday afternoon at the Emil Hansen orchard. Eighteen Eight-een members enjoyed luncheon, games, etc. Mr.:, p.cna Crowther entertained the Fooial Hour club members Thursday afternoon at her home. A hot dinner was served after which reminiscing was enjoyed by all present. : The Moderncttes enjoyed a delicious de-licious luncheon Wednesday eve- ning at the home of Mrs. Dora Lamb. Births Announced Mr. and Mrs. Roy O. Adams have anounced the arrival of a baby boy born Oct. 1st at the Madsen hospital in Mt. Pleasant. The mother was formerly Miss Avis Anderson. |
