Show I FAIRVIEW 1 By Special Correspondence Mr. Peter Peterson celebrated his S6th birthday anniversarv on Sept. 27th at his home in Fair-view. Fair-view. A hot dinner was served to thirty-five relatives . and friends. A pleasant day was spent in visiting. Mr. Peterson was born September Septem-ber 27, 1S60 in Fairview and married mar-ried to Celestia M. Terry Dec. 11, 1S7S in the St. George Temple. They have ten children of whom nine are living, seventy-nine preat grandchildren of whom seventy-one are living, and two great great grandchildren. Mr. Merlin Madsen accompanied accompa-nied his wife to Salt Lake City Saturday, where they will visit with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Blain Madsen and where Mrs. Madsen will board a plane for Washington, D. C. where she will visit with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Madsen and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Madsen. The Fairview Jr. High school Tenth grade held a weiner roast Thursday evening at the lodge. The Fairview Jr. high school Ninth grade held a weiner roast Friday evening at the lodge. The Fairview Jr. High school Eighth grade held a class party Friday evening at the Tim Fowles fa rm Mr. and Mrs. Wollerton H. Brin-ton Brin-ton will enter the L D S Mission Home in Salt Lake City October 7th prior to leaving for the California Cali-fornia Mission. A farewell party was given in their honor Saturday, Satur-day, September 28th in the South ward L D S church. The program was as follows: Invocation, Bishop Howard Rig-by; Rig-by; talk, Sybil Hansen; talk, George Squire; duet, Lucy .and Robert Tucker; talk, Henry C. Jacobs; reading, Alice Stewart; solo, Wynelle Vance; talk, Bishop James Hamilton; talk, D. Branson Bran-son Brinton; musical number, under direction of of Helen Brady; Bra-dy; response by the missionaries; benediction, President Golden D. Carlston. A dance followed in the Amusement Hall. The missionaries have been entertained en-tertained at the home of the following fol-lowing people; Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Aldrich, Mr, and Mrs. C. T. Madsen, Mr. and Mrs. William Hansen, Mt. Pleasant and Mr. and Mrs. John L. Bench of Fair-view. Fair-view. Mr. and Mrs. Wollerton H. Brinton Brin-ton entertained the following persons Friday, Sept. 20th at their home: Mr. H. C. Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. John Gunaerson, Mr. and Mrs. George Squire, Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Aldrich, Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Madsen. A hot dinner was served and the . evening was spent in playing rook. Mrs. Mary B. Hamilton, Mr and Mrs. James E. Hamilton, Mary Alice Hamilton, Mr. Walton, Wal-ton, Mr. and Mrs. D. Branson Brinton and Mrs. Elizabeth Simons Si-mons of Salt Lake City were vis-i vis-i itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wollerton Brinton. They came to attend the farewell party given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Brinton. A farewell party will be given Saturday, Oct. 12th In the Fair-view Fair-view North ward chapel in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Allie Carlston, who are leaving to fulfill an L D S Mission. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Hansen and daughters, Terry and Laura of Provo visited with Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Jensen last week. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Jensen and daughters, Karolyn and Sharlet of Salt Lake City visited over the week end with Chris Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Jensen and daughter, La Nila. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Allred, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Allred, Salt Lake end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Jones. Mr. M. P. Christensen celebrated cele-brated his 79th birthday anniversary anni-versary Wednesday, Sept. 25th at his home. A hot chicken dinner was served to the following children: chil-dren: Mr. and Mrs. Afton Christensen Chris-tensen and family. The bride was gowned in blue crepe with black accesories and a corsage of roses. Sunday evening the bride wpre .black crepe and Monday evening she wore her wedding dress. The young couple left for Tal-mage, Tal-mage, Utah, wnere they will make their home. Mrs. Mower arrived in Salt ake City Sept. 15th from Auckland, Auck-land, New Zealand. |
