" Mrs. Raymond; Trone and son of Salt Lake city visited here last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blairi Draper. Mr. and Mrs. Draper took her home Sunday. : Dr. and Mrs. Dean Rigby and son, Newell, were Salt Lake visitors vis-itors last weekend. , Mr. and Mrs. Bob Barnes of Salt Lake city visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mc-Kinnon Mc-Kinnon last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Barnes were enroute to their home from a vacation trip to southern Utah. Mrs. Leroy Morley, who lives in Alaska, brought her small son, Robert Leroy, to Moroni last week where the child was blessed in a service at the West ward chapel Sunday by its great-grandfather, Bishop Ephraim Eph-raim Nelson. While in Moroni Mrs. Morley was a houseguest of her aunt, Mrs. Alfred Bell. Mrs. Morley left Monday morning on her return journey to Alaska after spending some time in Salt Lake city , with her parents. - Moroni's cattlemen who have range permits on the West Mountain are busy this weekend getting their cattle from off the mountain to comply with the Forest Service directions. Moroni turkey growers were guests of the Norbest company at a banquet served last Tuesday night at the Lion's lodge. Representatives Rep-resentatives from the company spoke on -the marketing situation situa-tion and summarized the outlook out-look for Sanpete turkey growers. A Moroni Stake Relief Society leadership meeting was held last Saturday night at Wales, under thr- direction of the stake president, Mrs. Anna Robertson. The program was in the form of a union conference and social. A program was presented and refreshments were served, after which the group divided into individual in-dividual sections for special class work. Mrs. Robertson and Mrs. Venice Ven-ice Anderson reported on the Relief Re-lief Society conference which they attended in Salt Lake on Wednesday. A large attendance from the entire stake was present. Tuesday afernoon marked the beginning of the regular fall course of study by the Relief So-city So-city in both wards. Mrs. Macel Tidwell is president presi-dent of the East Ward Relief Society So-ciety and Mrs. Dorthea Olson is. resident of the West Ward. |
