Pleasant Thorit Hatch, Helper Attorney who is seek.ng nomination as a Republican Candidate for the 'office of District Judge of the Seventh Judical District was in Mt. Pleasant this week in the interests in-terests of his candidacy. Mr. Hatch has engaged in the practice of law in Utah for 11 years and for the last 10 years in Helper. He has served during that time as attorney of Helber City for seven years. He was born at Vernal, Utah and was educated in the schools of Uintah County arid graduated from the law school of the University Uni-versity of Uah in 1929. He practiced his profession at Vernal for more than one year before moving to Helper in 1930. Mr. Hatch has been a life long Republican and served as district chairmen of his dsitrict for many years. He is at the presen time filling the position of County Secretary for the Carbon County Republician Organization. He has been admitted to practice in the courts of Utah, the courts of the State of Oregon, and also the Federal Courts. He is active affairs being a member of Helper Kiwanis Club since 1933. He is now serving as secretary of the Helper Board of Trade. He is married and the father of two children. |
