Show Fairview Couple Returns From 4,000-Mile Trip Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Peterson of Fairview have recently returned from a journey of about a month through British Columbia and the Northwest, during which they visited with two sons and their families in Seattle, Washington. During their trip, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson visited many points of interest, such as the Grand Cooley Dam, Crater Lake, . a sawmill cutting a million feet of lumber per day, the giant Redwoods and other big trees along the Pacific Coast, and finally the World's Fair in San Francisco. The couple had planned to go from Washington on to Alaska but when Mrs. Peterson, known among her friends and townspeople towns-people as Aunt Ceen, saw the cold, deep blue sea, and the boat, she said: "Not me!" Mr. and Mrs. Peterson therefore contented themselves with taking in the sights on land. The trip actually took 20 days and covered an itinerary of 4,000 miles. "The scenery and the roads in the Northwest are very complimentary com-plimentary to that area," Mr. Peterson said, "but I still say, see your own state first." |
