Show Provisions For 1641 Parity Payments Under AAA Program Announced The 1941 parity payment provisions pro-visions were announced today by E. H. Anderson chairman of the Sanpete county AAA committee. The 1941 parity provisions are essentially the same as those in effect for the 1940 program. A producer who participates in the 1941 AAA Farm Program will be eligible for payments if: (1) the 1941 planted acreage .of wheat does not -ex-ceed the - wheat acreage allotment established for nis farm in 1941 and (2) he does l.ot offset his performance by overplanting on any farm, where-ever where-ever located, in which he has an intercs:. As provided in the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938, the 1941 parity payment rates for wheat will be based on the amount by which the returns from the 1941 crop falls below the parity income. The rate for any crop cannot exceed the amount by which the 1940 average aver-age farm price is less than the parity price and will be as nearly equal to parity as the avoidable funds permit. Rates will be announced an-nounced later when the information informa-tion upon which they are based is available. In 1939 and 1940 the rate of payment and the average farm price combined could not exceed 75 per cent of parity. As in the two previous years, parity payments will be made on ihe normal yield of the farm acreage allotment determined under the 1941 program. According to the information from the state AAA office, as of September 16, the 1940 parity payments are 57.8 per cent complete com-plete in the state on the amount of money and 47.5 per cent complete com-plete on the number of applications. applica-tions. Last year at this time they were 42 per cent complete on the amount of money and approximately approxi-mately 25 per cent on the number I of applications. |
