Show Mt. Pleasant Brevities . . . Family Gathers For Birthday Dr. and Mrs. Paul Rasmussen and daughter, Karen Marie, and Mrs. Rasmussen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harker of Salt Lake; Dr. and Mrs. D. I. Ras mussen and family of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Rice and family and Miss Esther Rasmussen Rasmus-sen of Salt Lake have visited during the past week at the Daniel Dan-iel Rasmussen home, the occasion occas-ion being Mrs. Daniel Rasmus-sen's Rasmus-sen's birthday anniversary, April Ap-ril 15. Mrs. Hyrum Meyrick and a daughter, Mrs. J. Shirley Poul-sen, Poul-sen, both of Springville, were Mt. Pleasant visitors this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Rosenlof. Last Thursday Mrs. Meyrick was a guest at a pinochle party given by Mrs. Rosenlof. Tom B. and Jack Christensen 'of Wendover were Easter visitors at the family home in Mt. Pleasant. Pleas-ant. Mrs. Tom B. Christensen returned with them to Wendover where she has accepted employment employ-ment as civilian personnel nurse at the Air Force base. Mr. and Mrs. J. Leon Synder-gaard Synder-gaard and family visited last weekend at the home of Mrs. Anna Syndergaard. A Monday evening dinner party par-ty at the home of Mr. and Mrs Wilford Syndergaard was attended at-tended by Mr. and Mrs. Rex Staker and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Staker and their daughters. Mrs. Alberta Wilson of Sail Lake is visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alvin Christensen. Chris-tensen. Mrs. Carrie Tomlinson is leaving leav-ing Sunday to visit at Hill Field with her son, Herbert Tomlinson and family. 9 Mrs. Dora Faussett of Salt Lake, Mrs. F. W. Robinson and son, George Robinson, of Richmond, Rich-mond, Calif, have been guests this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Averett. Mis. Faussett, mother of Mrs. Averett Aver-ett and Mrs. Robinson, accompanied accompa-nied the Robinsons to Richmond, Friday, to spend the summer in California. Mrs. Joseph Matson is convalescing con-valescing at the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake after a major operation opera-tion Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Wilson and son Doug of Colton, Calif., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Merz. Mr. Anderson is Mrs. Merz's brother. Mrs. Merz accompanied accompa-nied them as far as Elsinorc where she spent a few days al the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Gibbs. Bonnie Lou Is Six Mrs. H. C. Merz entertained at a birtnday party baturaay lor her granddaughter, Bonnie Lou Edmondson, it being her sixth birthday. Lunch was served to 14 guests. Principal's Birthday J. S. Jensen was honored by a group of friends Tuesday evening eve-ning who came laden with good things to eat to help him celebrate cele-brate his birthday anniversary The guests included" Messrs and Mesdames V. H. Gunderson, A. H. Andersen, D. L. Borg, O. V. Andersen, Emil Rutishauser, A. L. Petersen and A. F. Rasmussen. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Christensen and family visited Mrs. Chris-tensen's Chris-tensen's sister, Mrs. Earl Tutlle and family in New Castle, Colo, over the weekend. . Sunday evening Miss Ruth Hacking entertained at an informal in-formal dinner at McMillan Hall Her guests were: Mrs. Elizabeth Allen, Mrs. Esther Irwin and Mr. and Mrs. D. Allen Thomas members of the decorating committee com-mittee for the award banquet to be held in May at Wasatch Academy. Monday evening William Burton Bur-ton with several Scouts from the First Prsebyterian church visited the armory and heard a lecture concerning the equipment equip-ment by Capt. Charles Wix. Dean Seely, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Seely, has been visiting visit-ing his parents the last few-days. few-days. - -. Mrs. F. O. Fogelberg and daughter, Donna, recently visited vis-ited Mrs. Fogelberg's sister, Mrs. Jack Steed in Farmington. Mr and Mrs. Willis Candland attended a dinner dance in Provo Thursday evening given by the Dancing Friends club. M. and Mrs. Orrin Jackson and family, Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam V. Oldroyd and family and T. S. Oldroyd, all of Provo, were weekend visitors at the Candland Cand-land home. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley LemMon and family and Miss Leah Fay Johansen spent the weekend in Panguitch with Mrs. LeMmon's mother, Mrs. Julia Johansen. . Mr. and Mrs. Proctor Bohman and family of Monroe were recent re-cent visitors at the Grant Johansen Jo-hansen home. Joan Is Ten Miss Joan Phillips, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Phillips celebrated her tenth birthdav last Saturday. Twelve of Joan's friends enjoyed . the lovely luncheon and games which followed. fol-lowed. . Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Peterson and family will visit in Sail Lake this weekend with Mrs Peterson's brother, Claude Salisbury, Sal-isbury, and his family. Linda Is Seven Little Linda Madsen, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Royal Mad-sen, Mad-sen, was feted with a party Saturday Sat-urday afternoon in honor of her seventh birthday. Sixteen boy? and girls were present. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Jacobsen were hosts to out-of-town mem- I bers of their family over the Easter weekend. Those who were present were: Mr. and Mrs. Lee Reynolds and Miss Joan Johnson of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Thoo Tate and son Kenneth C. Lindquist of Tooele; Thomas Johnson of Ephraim, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Down- ard and family of Spring City. Bobby Is Ten Bobby Olsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray J. Olsen, recently celebrated cel-ebrated his tenth birthday among a group of 15 friends. . Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan Buchan-an and family of Salina were Sunday guests at the Ralph Hafen home. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Dobbs and Clair Seely of Price were weekend week-end visitors at the home of Mrs. Maggie Seely and Mr. and Mrs. Ray J. Olsen. Paul Is Four Saturday afternoon little Paul Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Peterson, celebrated his fourth birthday at a colorful Easter party. Madsen is home again after spending the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Pannier and family in Salt Lake and with her sister, Mrs. A. M. Campbell in Ogden. Miss Gladys Pannier accompanied her grandmother grand-mother home to spend her spring vacation at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hafen. Mrs. Ruby M. Ivory of Salt Lake visited over the weekend with her sister, Mrs. O. V. Andersen Ander-sen and family. Dr. and Mrs. W. D. Tueller and daughters, and Miss Clair Tueller Tuel-ler of Provo, and Miss Grace Hunsaker of Montpelier, Idaho, were guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rasmussen.
