Show Moroni Hero Brought Home Graveside services for Pvt. Grandon H. Ostler, 29, will be -conducted at-l:30p."rrr:- Sunday-in Sunday-in the Moroni city cemetery by Ray McKinnon, bishop. Military rites will be under, the auspices of the Moroni American Legion Post. Burial will be in the Moroni cemeter under direction of the Ursenbach Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Friends may call at the home of his mother, Mrs. Serena Ostler from 10 a. m. Sunday-till Sunday-till time of services. Pvt. Ostler was born in Mo roni, January 15, 1914, a son of Earl and Serena Ostler. He was a graduate of Moroni high school. He entered the U. S. Army in April 1943 and served with the Armed Infantry, a Tank Destroyer De-stroyer Battalion, Glider Infantry Infant-ry and the 51st Armored Infantry In-fantry Battalion. He was killed in action Dec. 25, 1944 and was buried in an army cemetery in hte Duchy of Luxembourg. Surviving are his mother, two brothers and four sisters, Kay Ostler of Moroni; Terry Ostler of Nephi; Mrs. Max Blain and Mrs. Charles Clark of Spring City; Mrs. Darrell Guptil of Oregon City, Oregon, and Mrs. Earl Brewer of Mt. Pleasant. |
