The maximum, maxi-mum, when need has been proved, must not exceed thirty gallons. "Home-to-work" drivers not belonging to ride-sharing clubs are being given thirty clays to secure other riders. Beginning August 1, local rationing boards will issue supplemental gasoline for only one month to motorists of this class. Farm or country butter now continues at eight points a pound, making it a good bargain in contrast to creamery butter now selling for 16 points because consumption is far ahead of the War Food Administration's allocation al-location to OPA. Turkey growers during the period up to October 31 will receive re-ceive slightly higher prices for all birds sold to the government, but OPA believes that the consumer con-sumer will pay slightly less for all birds under 15 pounds when buying for the holidays start in November. |
