Show Fairview Topics . . . Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Terry ' and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Madsen spent last weekend in Salt Lake city. While there they were guests at a birthday dinner given by Mrs. Thelma Woodward gave in honor of her birthday and the birthday of Mrs. Terry. A hot supper was served and the evening even-ing was spent in making recording record-ing of the program. Mrs. Beatrice Bea-trice Budvarson . and son were also present. ( Thursday the Terrys visited the Alta Ski resort. On Friday Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Terry attended the meetings of the Sons and Daughters of Pioneers Pio-neers and the Black Hawk committee com-mittee meeting. The annual Black Hawk encampment will be held the first week in August at Payson. Mrs. Alice Nielsen entertained Monday evening in honor of her birthday. A hot dinner was served to 23 friends and relatives. rela-tives. Mayciel Jensen spent the weekend in Provo at the home of her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Jensen. The former Alice Cox recited marriage vows recently with Melvin B. Stone at the home of herm other. President Golden D. Carlston officiated at the ceremony. -- The young couple will make their home at Ogden. A surprise party was given to Mrs. Hannah Howell in honor of her birthday. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Mark Whitney and daughter daugh-ter of Springville, Mr. and La-vell La-vell Bird and Mrs. Walden Hurst of Mapleton; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Norman, Mr. and Mrs. Ber-thell Ber-thell Howell of Murray, Mr., and Mrs. Mar Dye and three children, chil-dren, and Miss' Yvonne Aiken; Kenneth Howell, Mrs. Reola Barney and three children, Mrs. Philinda Turpin and Mrs. Sev-erena Sev-erena Anderson of Fairview. The guests brought a pot luck supper and presented Mrs. Howell How-ell with a lovely gift. f Mrs. Louie Stewart was hostess host-ess to her club Wednesday evening. even-ing. Members present were Mrs. Becky Jensen, Mrs. Lorna Terry . Mrs. Ellen Turpin, Mrs. Minerva Vance, Mrs. Varda Vance, Mrs,. Lorna Tucker, Mrs. Mary Sanderson. San-derson. Mrs. Fern Barker, Mrs. Alice Neilsen, Mrs. Mamie Prit-chett Prit-chett and rs. Valera Cheney. The evening was spent in playing bridge. Prizes were won by Mrs. Varda Vance. Mrs. Becky Jensen and Mrs. Lorna Tucker. Mrs. Hilden Tucker entertained enter-tained at a hot supper Saturday evening in honor of the birthday anniversary of her husband. Guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Madsen of Fairview Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jensen and daughter Wilma of Mt. Pleasant Mr. and Mrs. Charley Wright and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Wavne Stansfield and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Mac Stansfield a'l of Mt. Pleasant. |
