Show . FOUNTAIN GREEN I By Special Correspondence 1 Pre-School Round-Up A pro-school round-up will be conducted at Fountain Green Municipal Hall, Thursday, Feb. 21. All parents, who have children, chil-dren, who will begin school in the fall of 1946 and are not registered reg-istered at the Child Health conference con-ference are urged to register their childrenwith Mrs. Hanna Mathis, chairman before that date. Returned Service Men Pershing Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Cook, has recently recent-ly been released from the service. He has spent the greater part of 2'i years of service in India. Vern Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hansen, has received his discharge, after 4 years of service. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Rasmussen have received word from their son, Sgt. Gayle Rasmussen, that he will soon be coming home. Gayle has spent over two years in the South Pacific. Doyce Crowther, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Crowther, is enjoying enjoy-ing a short furlough. Doyce is with the Merchant Marines. Stoddard Stilwell, son of Mr. J. H. Stillwell, has received his release from the service and is now visiting with his father. A dance in honor of all returned Servicemen and their partners, and sponsored by the American Legion and City Officials, will be held in the Amusement Hall, Friday evening. The public is cordially invited also. ' Births Announced Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Lawlor of Van Couver, B. C. are the parents par-ents of a son, born Feb. 11th at the Madsen hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Pleas-ant. Mrs. Lawlor is the sister of Mrs. Beatrice Yorgason of Fountain Foun-tain Green. Social Items . The following attended the Woolgrowers convention and banquet at Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Welby Aagard, George E. Cook, James L. Neilson, Mooris Cook, Thos. H. Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Pharis Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Arvard Aagard. A large percentage of Fountain Green ward members attended the Moroni stake quarterly conference con-ference in Mor.onl Sunday, Feb. 10th. Mrs. Lillian Snow was a Salt Lake City visitor during the week. Mrs. Minnie Olsen and son, Asel visited during the week with relatives in Idaho Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Eugent Symes and Mrs. Beth ' Anderson were Salt Lake City visitors Monday. Miss Ellen Copley of Van Couver, Cou-ver, B. C. is visiting with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Beatrice Yorgason and family. Mr. Willard Hansen arjd family of Ogden are visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence IW. Hansen. |
