By Special Correspondence j Funeral Services Held For Benjamin Cloward on Friday Funeral services for Benjamin Cloward, who' passed away last Tuesday were held in the West Ward chapel on Friday at 2:00 p. .m with Bishop Morris Jensen officiating. Prayers were offered by Elders. Daniel Anderson end Udell Anderson. An-derson. The speakers were Lee Taylor, Vernile Jensen and Bishop Bish-op Jensen. A vocal solo was rendered ren-dered by Mrs. Clara Larsen, a vocal duet by Mrs. Hanna Draper and Udell Anderson with Mrs. Lyda Christensen accompaning at the piano, and the combined East and West ward choirs furnished fur-nished two numbers with the solo part sung by Udell Anderson. Ander-son. An unusually large number of people, both relatives and friends of Mr. Cloward, were in attendance attend-ance to show their respect to the family. Many fine tributes were paid the deceased by the speakers. speak-ers. The floral offerings were profuse pro-fuse and beautiful. The grave in the city cemetery was dedicated by Bishop Eph-raim Eph-raim Nelson. The West ward Y. W. M. I. A. has just re-organized as follows: fol-lows: Glcnda Nielsen, president; with Mary Peterson, and Marion Bagley as counselors and Fran-cine Fran-cine Morley as secretary. James Prestwich has been chosen as President of the Y. M. M. I. A. association, but has not yet selected his couselors. They wil be anounced later. Mrs. Iva Dean Kjar of Manti visited this week with her sister, Mrs. Zella Robertson at Moroni. Mrs. Kate Lewis spent last week end with her son and family, fam-ily, Murray Lewis of Salt Lake City. The Junior Sorosis club members mem-bers were entertained last evening eve-ning by Mrs. Dora Morley at her home. A book review entitled, "The Dragon's Teeth," was very ably given by Mrs. Isabelle Kel-lett. Kel-lett. They enjoyed a social period while engaged in needle work. A delicious hot luncheon was then servied to 11 members and two special guests, Mrs. Isabelle Kellett and Mrs. Marjorie Revell of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest R. Anderson Ander-son of Richfield spent Monday with relatives and friends at Moroni. Mo-roni. Miss Kate Jean Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Anderson, is at the Dice hospital where she is recovering from an operation for appendicitis which was performed last Saturday. Glen Livingston, age 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Livingston, received a broken foot last Thursday Thurs-day when the bicycle upon which he was riding collided with a wagon. He is using crutches and is improving very well at this time. Grant Christensen, who has been in a Salt Lake hospital for several weeks, has returned home and is at the home of his sister, Mrs. S c .. ai l Anderson. Heber Christensen received word Tuesday that his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Vance of Murray was at the Bingham Canyon hospital where she had undergone an op-peration op-peration on Monday. Shs was reported to be improving very nicely. Mrs. Helena Aimes, age 73, was operated on last Friday at the Dice hospital for appendicitis. A large number of Moroni Parachute Par-achute workers attended the entertainment en-tertainment at the Parachute Plant at Manti Saturday evening, October 25th which was given in commeration of the opening of ;he big new building at Manti. The workers were accompanied by their partners. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Curtis and Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Curtis of Salt Lake City spent last week end with their mother, Mrs. Sena Curtis at Moroni. Mrs. Arthur Bohlin entertained last Wednesday afternoon in honor of the eighth birthday anniversary an-niversary of her little daughter, .aVona.
