Show Livestock Will Be Handled In Improved Ways CaUle Dipping Vats Being Constructed For Stockmen Plans have been made by the Ferron Stockmen's Association to construct a cattle dipping vat at the Ferron Corral during this summer. Due to the serious menace of the cattle lice, the Feron Stockmen's Stock-men's Association plan to construct con-struct a dipping vat complete with crowding pens, a chute and draining pen at the Ferron Corral, Cor-ral, Supervisord Folster stated. It is contemplated that work will begin this summer during the time between putting up the first and second crops of hay. The vat will probably be in operation op-eration in time to dip all the cattle cat-tle in the Ferron Community this fall. Construction of the dipping vat is being undertaken by the Ferron Fer-ron Stockmen's Asociation with the cooperation of the Grazing Service and the Manti National Forest. j According to Supervisor Folster, i the Forest Service is cooperating with the stockmen at Manti in the construction of a well-designed stock corral which will accommodate both sheep and cattle. The corral is provided with tagging, dehorning, branding, brand-ing, and separating facilities; i and, in addition, has a dipping vat in which both sheep and cat-, cat-, tie can be diped. I Acattle corral at Gdnnison is i also in course of construction, i which will include a dipping vat I and the other modern devices j mentioned above. I Twelve other stock corrals have been, or are in the course of construction, con-struction, by the Forest Service j in the communities adjacent to '"' ! the Manti Forest. The Manti ha ! cooperated with the Grazing Serv-i Serv-i ice and stockmen ia the construe tion of four other corrals in En ery County. These well-cc structed corrals and chutes f ly faciliate the handling o' stock. , |
