Show lens J. Sorensen Dies at Spring City Last Sunday Funeral services for Jens J. Sorensen, 92, oldest male resident of Spring City, who died early Sunday of a heart ailment at the home of his son, Christian Sorensen, Soren-sen, will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. in the Spring City L D S ward chapel. Born February 22, 1852, son of Soren Christen and Marie Jor-gensen Jor-gensen Skram Jensen, he lived in Elling, Denmark, until joining the L D S church and coming tc America with his wife, Hannah Marie Christensen and a daughter. daugh-ter. Settling in Spring City, he has lived there and been active in civic and church affairs. A stone mason by trade, he helped build many of the stone buildings in Spring City before turning to farming as his occupation. oc-cupation. He served several terms as city councilman and presided over Scandinavian meetings o) the L D S church of the Spring City ward members. Survivors include four sons. Martin Sorensen, Wenatchee Wash.; James S. Sorensen, Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho; Otto J. Sorensen Salt Lake City; a daughter, Mrs Martena Blain, Sunset, Davis county, and 29 grandchildren and i 32 great-grandchildren. |
