J. A. Holberry, state purchasing agent, said Friday that the Centennial Cen-tennial queen's cream - colored convertible coupe will go on the auction block and the highest bidder bid-der is expected to offer considerably consider-ably more than the $2246.11 paid by the state for the car when it was new. Complete with all accessories, the 1946 De Soto automobile has been driven only 15,000 miles. Prospective Pros-pective buyers may inspect the car at 1225 Beck St. Bids will be called within two days and opened Nov. 13 at 10 a. m., at the capitol. They are to be sealed and mailed to Mr. Holberry Hol-berry who will notify the highest bidder. No private financing company, the state expects cash from the winning party upon notification, Mr. Holberry said. |
