Students Graduate At the Commencement Exercises Exer-cises held Friday evening, May 23rd in Moroni West ward chapel the following Fountain Green students received their certificates certifi-cates of graduation: Harvey Lund, Douglas Cook, Carroll Robertson, Rob-ertson, Reed Hansen, Ruel Anderson, And-erson, Ted Johnson, Clarice Olsen, Ol-sen, Maurice Mayer, Geraldine Hatch, Joyce Colard, and Lucile Jensen. Lou Jean Oldroyd Becomes May Bride In a mid May ceremony Miss Lou Jean Oldroyd and Hyrum Hansen exchanged vows in the Manti Temple May 23rd. Pres. L. R. Anderson performed the ceremony. A reception was given giv-en Wednesday, May 28th in the Amusement Hall by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Oldroyd. Old-royd. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Monte Anderson of Wales, Utah. The bride and groom are Moroni High School graduates. The bride is prominent promi-nent in musical circles and all church and civic organizations. Speakers at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday, May 25 were Elder Newel Rees and Elder Anderson Ander-son of Wales, Utah; Frank Crow-ther, Crow-ther, Voneal Winters, and Lu Dean Jackson of Fountain Green. Mr. Robert Cook and mother. Mrs. Zina Cook were visitors at the home of Mrs. Caroline Johnson John-son Sunday, May 25th. Mrs. Min-inie Min-inie Olsen visited in Provo and Salt Lake City during the week. Many people from Fountain Green attended the Rambouillet Day celebration at Ephraim. The Fountain Green City float won the prize in the parade Saturday morning, May 24th. The celebrities cele-brities that rode this float were our City Centennial Queen, Miss Vonda Despain and her attendants, attend-ants, Miss Dora Nielson and Miss Mary Draper. Mr. Homer Robertson of Salt Lake City is visiting with his mother, Mrs. Zell Seely. Mrs. Mary Hansen was a Salt Lake City visitor during the week Mrs. Carol Tobler and children chil-dren of St. George, Utah have returned re-turned home after visiting for a short time with her mother, Mrs. Zell Seely. Mr. and Mrs. Lavoy Coombs and children of Salt Lake City visited for a few days of this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Coombs. Miss Lucile Jensen has left for Salt Lake City where she has employment. Mr. Dorian Mikkelson of Salt Lake City visited with his parents par-ents Saturday in Fountain Green and his brother, Elwin Mikkelson Mikkel-son and family in Ephraim, U-tah. U-tah. ; Mrs. Thomas H. Cook was a Salt Lake City visitor during the ' week. ! Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Holman ', and son are making their home ! in Tooele, Utah where Mr. Hoi-; Hoi-; man has employement. ; Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Anderson ; and Mrs. Eliza Rees of Wales ' were Fountain Green visitors on ! Saturday. ; Mr. Forrest Yorgason of Salt ; Lake City visited during the ; week with relatives. ; Miss Lou Jane Chistensen of Provo visited Sunday with her ! parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Christiansen. Mrs. Nelda Everett entertained the Modernettes Friday evening at a delicious luncheon. Cards were the evening diversion and prizes were won by Mrs. Phyllis : Oldroyd and Mrs. Jayne Christensen. |
