Show MORONI ' By Spscal Corespondence Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hansen Observe Golden Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hansen celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on May 4, 1947 at their home. A delicious hot dinner din-ner was prepared and enjoyed by the following members of their family: Mr. Mozel Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Van Buren, Mr. and Mrs. K. D. Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Aagard, Mr. and Mrs. Myles Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Elden Dickinson, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hansen, as well as 13 grand children. They also have two great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen are both very well respected and highly esteemed by their many relatives and friends for they have both been very active in church and civic activities and have the best wishes of everyone for many more years of happiness together. May Day May Day was celebrated in Moroni last Thursday and was a most ideal day in every way even to the weather which was warm and perfect for the occasion. oc-casion. It was under direction of the East and West ward Primary Pri-mary association. At 2 p. m. a most delightful program was rendered in West ward chapel and was conducted by Mrs. Lil lian McKinnon, President of the West ward Primary, and was a;; follows: Song, "Happiness" by the Primary children; prayer b Mrs. Tina Gee; a piano solo by Miss Joyce Christensen and a vocal solo, "The World Is Waiting Wait-ing for the Sunrise," by Miss La-rona La-rona Irons, with Joyce Christensen Christen-sen at the piano. Two singing numbers were then given by the Elementary school children, under un-der the direction of Mrs. Ila Faux. The crowning of the queens was the next number, which was very beautiful in every respect. The East ward queen was Helen Nielson with Julia Oldroyd and Elsie Christensen as attendants and Rita Blackham as "Lady Spring." The West ward had ties for queens as these are all chosen by their merits in Primary, and they were: Catherine Peterson and Rita Sorenson, with Shirley Smith and Patsy Johnson as attendants at-tendants and Iona Anderson' as "Lady Spring." The Freedom branch queen ito GolTa TVIoIcati anH attendants were Louise Swensen and Annette An-nette Green. "I Have Two Little Hands," was then sung by Miss Joyce Westenschow, after which another song was given by each of the following groups: East ward group 2; West ward Trail Builders; three girls from Freedom Free-dom Primary and Mrs. Ila Faux's school children's group. Closing prayer was offered by Mrs. Olive Olson. Everyone then went o the Old Bungalow, where there were two Maypoles in readiness for the dancing of the Maypoles, which was done very beautifully by the children, as well as the dancing. Delicious refreshments were then served. There were hundreds of chil-dern chil-dern present and an unusually large number of mothers, all of whom, enjoyed the day's celebration cele-bration very much, and all the Primary officers are to be complimented com-plimented on the splendid work they have done to make May Day such an outstanding success. suc-cess. Miss Electa Robertson was operated op-erated on last Sunday for appendicitis ap-pendicitis at the Dice hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Tidwell and son, Creig of Nephi visited in Moroni last week end at the home of Mrs. Blackburn's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Foris Blackburn. Black-burn. On Sunday afternoon the Tidwells, Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn, Black-burn, Misses Dixie Lee and De Anna Blackburn, Mrs. Niels Jo-hansen, Jo-hansen, and Ruby Johansen en-, en-, joyed a birthday celebration at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Jensen of Fairview in honor of their daughter, Le Nila on her 4th birthday anniversary.
