Show Public Health Column Daggett County is the first county in Utah to provide permanent quarters exclusively for a health center at whioh Maternal and child Healta Conferences are held regularly reg-ularly each month, according to Dr. Lela J. Beebe, Director of tr.e division divi-sion of Maternal and Child Health, Utah State Board of Health. TLie health center is located in the County Court House at Manila. Citizens in Daggett County are interested in-terested in the heaib'.i prosrami, as indicated by their attendance at the conferences. Although there .are only 411 people in the county, according to the 1930 cencus, there were 11 infants, in-fants, 9 preschool children and three expectat mothers in attendance at the June conference. Thirty-three school children received dental examinations ex-aminations at the June Maternal and Child Health Conference. Dr. A. Schnlinger and Miss Mabel Williams, county public health; nvrse, conduct the conferences once eaoli month. Dr. J. W. Stevens, a dt ntist from Vernal, gave the dental axaminations at the June conference. con-ference.
