Show Public Health Column A case of malaiia, reported from Salt Lake County, was the outstanding out-standing feature of tne communicable communic-able disease, report or the week ending July 15, released July 19 by Dr. William M. McKay, Director of the Division cf Communicable Disease Dis-ease Control, Utah State Board of Health. Othe. unusual features of the report re-port were two cases of trachoma Ircm Uintah County; three cases of typjheid fever, one from Cache County and two from Uintah County; Coun-ty; and four cases of tularemia f.om Millard, Salt Lake and San-p.te San-p.te Counties. New cases of communicable disease dis-ease during the week numbered 316. an increase of 67 over the preceding pre-ceding week. Increases were reported in the i number cf cases of chickenpox, influenza, in-fluenza, measles, mumps, tularemia, tular-emia, typhoid and whooping cough, and decreasis in diptheria, scarlet fever and tuberculosis. No diseases were reported from Box Elder, Ca:bon, Emery Garfield, Grand, Kane. Rich, San Juan, Sevier Se-vier and Washington Counties. |
