Investigation by Sheriff Ed Peterson Pe-terson led to the conclusion that no one was at fault. Spencer died almost instantly of a broken neck after the machine in which he was riding, driven by Bigler and occupied by the Petersen Peter-sen boys and Miss Elmer, overturned overturn-ed four times and rolled dwn an 18-foct embankment after a front tire blew out about a, mile north cf Indianola. Spencer was born in Indianola, October 22, 1918, a son of Murt H. and Ida S. Spencer. He attended the Fairview public schools and later was employed on his father's farm. His mother died nearly three years ago. Surviving are his father, his stepmother, step-mother, Mrs. Ora Lcmbardi Spencer; Spen-cer; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Shepherd, Indianola; ten brothers and sisters, Mrs. Sar-ella Sar-ella Syndergaard and Orion Spencer, Spen-cer, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Maida Barker, Pairview; Erwin, Norma, Ronald, Paul, Dorcas Anne, Thel-ma, Thel-ma, and Mozelle Spencer, Indian ola: Fu'.eral services will be held In the Fairview North ward L. D. S. chapel Monday at 1 p. m., under the directicn of Bishop George Peterson. Pe-terson. Interment will be in the Pairview City cemetery. |
