Show I I FOUNTAIN GREEN ' Bv Special Correspondence Born to Mr. and Mrs. Booth Cook December 14th a girl. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dyches, January 4th, a boy. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Alden All-red, All-red, January 6th, a girl. A large number of relatives and friends attended the shower which was given in honor cf Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ivory last Thursday evening eve-ning at the Municipal Hall. A delightful de-lightful program was enjoyed after which delicious refreshments were served. This was followed by a free dance in the Amusement Hall which was for the public. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received by the newly weds. ' The Ladies Literary Club met at Mrs. Linda Allred's heme last week where they were pleasantly entertained. enter-tained. Following an hour of social filcitations a delicious hot dinner was served to the following members: mem-bers: Lucinda Aagard, Lilly M. Robertson, Bertha, Ciriiansen, Nellie Aagard, Stella Christiansen. Verona Smyth, Minnie Olsoni, Annie C. Jensen, Hannah Mikkelscin, Rena Crowther, and the hostess. Mrs. Laura Llewellyn was a special guest. As Mrs. Allred has not been able to be away from home all winter, due to illness, the club members presented pre-sented her with a beautiful vae cf cut flowers consisting of roses, carnations, car-nations, and crysanthemums. The Heme Economics club held their monthly meeting last Thursday Thurs-day at Municipal Hall for the purpose pur-pose of reorganizing for the coming year. The new officers elected were: Cleo Nielson, president; with Edith Allison and Idena Crowther as counselors, and and Lillie Hansen, secretary and treasurer. The serving serv-ing committee chosen was, Minnie Oldroyd, with Mary Barentsen, Leacy Jensen and Lyda Carter as aids. They are making elaborate plans for a program, banquet and dance on January 25th fcr the outgoing out-going officers, and the public is invited in-vited to be prepared fbr a big event. |
