Show Accompanied by a number of Democratic leaders and other prominent prom-inent citizens from Salt Lake and Sanpete Counties, Senator Wm. H. King visited CCC Camp F-28 at -Gooseberry last Monday afternoon and evening. After inspecting work projects being conducted by C. C. C. Company Com-pany 959, Senator King and his party visited the Camp itself, and dined with the C. C. C. boys, after which he favored those present wi'h a short address. In his address, Senator King dc-c!4'ed dc-c!4'ed that while Conditions are still far from ideal, material progress pro-gress toward prosperity is being made in this country. In support of this statement the speaker cited increased numbers of solvent banks, growing reemployment, new manufacturing manu-facturing activity, and decreasing relief rolls. The Senator compared these signs of reviving prosperity in the United States with increasingly alarming conditions in China), India, and Europe. With ccmmuni'.tic banditry bandit-ry rife in Chino, and Chino-Japan-ese friction disturbing the peace f those countries; and with such occurrences oc-currences as the Nazi Putsch in Air.tria. with its killing of Chancellor Chan-cellor Dollfuss clouding the outlook out-look in Europe, the future of othrr parts of the world appears much more gloomy than that in the United Unit-ed States, the speaker said. With the exercise of hope and faith. Senator King stated, he was confident thait the people of this country will win back prosperity and grow to an even greater leadership lead-ership among the nations of the world. Utah's senior Senator declared thal as difficulties are necery in the development of character, the problems and hardships of today to-day will facilitate the solution of the problems of tomorrow. He reminded re-minded those present, however, that it is the thinkers who will solve these problems, and urged the C. C. C. boys to keep themselves as fit mentally as they are physically, by study and deep thinking, fov he declared that the time will not be long when these boys will re- place thos now holding place-, of responsibility in the country. Among those who accompanied Senator King on his inspection of the Camp, and who were present at the dinner and address, were Mr. B. Spencer Young, State Representative Repre-sentative from Sa't Lake County; Supervisor J. W. Humphrey of the Manti National Forest; Mr. S. M. Nielsen, Chairman of the Sanpete County board of commissioners; Mayor Ed. Johnston of Mt. Pleasant: Pleas-ant: Mr. Burke McArthur, Publisher Publish-er of The Mt.
