Show j FAIRVIEW i By Special Correspondence Word was received recently by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Turpin of the birth of their first grand child, a baby .daughter being born to Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Jorgensen, at the St. Marks hospital in Salt Lake last week. The mother was formerly former-ly Miss Thelma Turpin. Dr. Jorgensen Jor-gensen is now Working at Fort Douglas. The student body election of the Fairview High school was held this week with the folowing officers elected: Marvin . Mower,, student body president; Ted Madsen, vic;-presient; vic;-presient; Luzon Sanderson, tec-re tec-re tary; Lloyd Stewart, treasurer; George Vancet Yellmaster; Lloyd Vance, assistant Yellmaster. In the adult education depart, ment Jesse L. Young has a very large attendance. They will put on several civic operas during the coming season. .. "His Royal Highness" High-ness" has been selected as the first opera to be given. Evan and Weltha Clement Jensen Jen-sen announce the arrival of a baby girl. Ten or twelve officers ad members mem-bers of the North Bend Camp of the D. U. P .will attend the convention con-vention in Manti Saturday. On Friday evening the Democratic party of Fairview wa'; reorgan zsd with Stanley Brady as chairman: Reed Larsen, secretary; Mrs. Wanda Wan-da Day as lady chair woman. The meeting was called to elect 13 delegates dele-gates and 13 alternates to. attend the Democratic County convention conven-tion to be held in Mt. Pleasant, September 29th. |
