Show Juab Named As Top County in 4-H Activities Juab county received the silver plaque w'hich signifies outstanding 4-H club social progress activities during 1937, Director William Peterson Pe-terson of the Utah Slate Agricultural Agricul-tural college extension service said early this week. Director Peterson Peter-son made the presentation of the plaque to Juab county agricultural extension agent A. E. Smith at .the extension service conference held in Logan recently. The award was made to Juab county because cf the splendid record cf project achievements, community enterprises, social service, serv-ice, public presentations and personal pers-onal growth activities which the LaVonian 4-H Home Science of Nephi hung up in winning the state club championship, D. P. Murray, state club specialist at the college said. The club received a Victor radio 5s additional rewa:d, Mr. Murray said. Club activities were supervised by Miss LaVon Harris, local leader, and were carried on by Miss Marj-orie Marj-orie Olpin, Miss Donna Tidwell, Miss Phyllis Worthing'.cn, Miss Ida Wilson, Miss Florence Crane, Miss Delba Jones. Miss Norma Stephen-so-i.. Miss Eunice Belliston. Miss Grace Powell and Miss Clarice Kendall. |
