Tne ward officers presented the pageant and program Aith Hazel Black and Jennie Bro-therson Bro-therson directing. The dance following fol-lowing the program was in charge of Mrs. Eva Ericksen. A book on tne history of the Spring City ward was presented to Bishop Ellis. Mrs. Elizabeth Diantha Allred, widow of the late Bishop Samuel Allred, was honored at her home here on Sunday by her descendants on her eighty-seventh anniversary. Out cf town guests who came for the birthday dinner were: Pratt Allred and family of Manti, Spencer Spen-cer Allred and family of Salt Lake City, and her children and grand children living in this city and other oth-er relatives extended congratulations congratula-tions to her on the occasion. Alma Benson of Los Angeles, California, Cal-ifornia, visited here last week with relatives. Everett Strate made a business trip to Salt Lake City Monday. Angus Blaok and Reese Bunnell motored to Levan Bench Monday to inspect their herd there on winter range. They report the sheep In very fine condition: A family dinner was given Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Black, where children and grandchildren were guests. Mrs. Daniel Jensen and Heinz Larsen were guests Monday at the Emil Olsen home at Ephraim. Sidney Kelsey and family of Salt Lake City visited here the past week with Mr. Kelsey's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Easton Kelsey. On their return Willie McKay Kelsey accompanied ac-companied them home. Mrs. Harvey Hansen of Brigham City has spent the past two weeks here with her mother, Mrs. Lucy Watson who is very ill. LaMar Barney returned from Delta the latter part of tne week, Wi.ere he has been iworking this winter. The M. I. A. presented three one-act one-act plays at the Victory theater on Tuesday evening. The farmers are now busy at work in the fields doing their spring work. Lir.t'.en Jensen has returned from Juab County where he has herded soeep the past winter. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Neff have moved from the Carlson home into to-e house owned by Arthur Nunley. |
