Show 130 Delegates Attend United Conference A united conference of Methodist Metho-dist and Presbyteiian. young people peo-ple is meeting on tne Wasatch Academy campus this week. There are 13j delegates in attendance, representing cnurci.es l'roir the ioii,wmg conumu.ities: Salt Lake Oicy, Kice, Tremonton, Ogden, Park City, Keetley, Ferron, Mt. 1-leasant, Green River, Provo, Tooele, Cedar City, Milford, Logan, and Murray, Utah, and Ruth, Ely and McGill, Nevada. Dr. Franklin Eddy Madden, pastor pas-tor of the First Meth.dist Chu.ch cf Salt Lake City is Dean cf the conference and he is assisted by the following faculty members: W. E. Blackstook, T. G. Lilley, Robert D. Steele, William Crcsby Rose, Marion H.stetler, W. L. French, T. H. Chilson, William Kce.iig, R. L. Buchanan, W. K. Tarcndscn, Lucile Estes, Margery F.-ink, Alice Grube, Ruth Savin. Jiy W"-eatlake, Mrs. R, S. Goft, Nelle Wright and Hester McGaughey. Miss Lois Storer cf the Bethal Hospital, C-lorado Springs, is the conference nurse. The morning sessions have been devoted to study, the afternoons to recreation, and the evenings to oeliiious gatherings and recreate recrea-te n. Tnree picnics were included in the recreation program Tuesday Tues-day night the group went to Maple Canyon, Thursday night to the Academy lodge and Saturday night will be spent at Palisade Park. The final sessions will be held Sunday morning with the following follow-ing events scheduled: a sunrise comimunkn service at 6:30 in the Prebyteiian Church, a testimonial service at 9:45 in Craighead auditorium, audi-torium, and a church service at 11:00 in the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert D. Steele of Westminister College giving' the morning message. |
