Show Here is anothor striking illusiratlon of the manner in which this administration has subordinated sub-ordinated facts to pnrtisan advantage. After the outbreak of the war our exports to Germany and Austria were cut off, but shipments to Norway, Nor-way, Sweden, Denmark and Holland were many times multiplied. Our wnr orders brought pros-perity, pros-perity, and tho republicans so claimed, with absolute ab-solute accuracy and truthfulness. The administration's admin-istration's publicity agents, however, denied that restoration of prosperity was due to the war, and pointed out the largo exports to "neutral" countries, including those here mentioned. Now that wo are ourselves at war with Germany, administration ad-ministration officials arc willing to admit thnt Crecnutions should be taken to prevent supplies cing sent to Germany through the mcdlumship of those neutral powers. The administration has been willing to twist the facts any way to suit its partisan advantage. Tho people of the countryahould hereafter place more confidence in information from republican leaders. |
