Show We should not let the war interfere with what might be termed "domestic thinking." We should forget that there arc problems In Carbon county and In Price that tho war will not solve. These remain with us until attended to with the proper application of gray matter, and we must keep our minds at work upon them until they arc finished. The present year is one of the most important politically In the history of thp nation. Ten state constitutions arc 'to be made ovcr-this year and during the first half of 1918. The states so nffected nrc Massachusetts, Indiana, In-diana, Arkansas, Illinois, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Ten-nessee, Washington, North Carolina, Texas and North Dakota. The people in these states, at least, should have something to think about besides be-sides the war. And in the other states of the union there nrc various lesser problems that require re-quire clear thinking and efficient action, and in the cities and towns "war lethargy" as to local Improvements must not get possession of the people. Locally, Price should progress as if no wnr were on hand. Nothing not even war should be permitted to hold us back. |
