Show FFA Parents and Sons Banquet Held at PGHS The Pleasant Grove Chapter of Future Farmers of America held their annual Parent and Son Banquet Ban-quet on February 26. The annual affair was held In the Pleasant Gitve High School lunch center. Call to order was given by Eldon Armitstead, followed by opening ceremonies by the officers. Gwen Adams led community singing after which Earl Woolley gave the invocation. Welcome address ad-dress was given by Bemell Halli-day, Halli-day, followed by the banquet. A response was given by Kay Adams followed by chapter accomplishments accom-plishments presented by Roland West assisted by his mother, Mrs. Ross West, which showed an active year. Eldon Jacklin introduced the special guests, followed by a film of FFA projects and accomplishments accomplish-ments by Leland Matthews. Each special guest then gave a few remarks of encouragement. Awards were given to Dan Adams Ad-ams for state farmer applicant; Bemell Halliday for most improve- ment projects; Alton Hone for the member cooperating best with officers; of-ficers; Floyd Bezzant for honorary honor-ary chapter farmer. Eldon Armitstead for best FFA records; Earl Woolley for scholarship scholar-ship award; and the Sweethearts, Carol Harper, and her attendants Lorraine Herring and Sue Black were honored. Closing prayer was offered by Alton Hone followed by closing ceremonies by the officers. |
