Show Jehovah's Witness Convention Slated In Salt Lake City Members of the American Fork Congregation of Jehovah's witnesses witnes-ses are making preparations to leave for Salt Lake City this weekend week-end (April 19-21) to participate in a three-day training program, it was announced today by Gene Nelson, Nel-son, presiding minister here. Delegates to this convention will come from eighteen congregations, from such points as Ely and Elko, Nev. ; Richfield, Utah, and southeastern south-eastern Idaho. These ministers realize that mankind is living' in a ciitical period of time and are, therefore, zealcusly teaching- interested inter-ested Christian persons the only hope of salvation, which is by the means of Jehovah God's Kingdom, Mr. Nelson said. Mr. Nelson said that over 1,000 persons are expected to attend the various sessions for advanced ministerial min-isterial training which will begin Friday night. On Saturday evening a most interesting and unusual one hour color film "The Happiness of the New World Society" will be shown. The climax of the convention wil be a free public talk Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. on the subject sub-ject "Removing the Barriers Dividing Di-viding Mankind," which will be given by Mr. S. B. Friend, district dis-trict supervisor. |
