Show Saturday, April 27 Date Set for Lindon Garden Flower Show The Lindon Garden Club will stage its first spring festival flower flow-er show at the Lindon Community Park Saturday, April 27, according accord-ing t Mrs. Preston Atwood, publicity pub-licity chairman. "Springtime Mood" will be the theme cf the show. Everyone living in and around Utah County who is interested in submitting entries are asked to observe the following rules: . Entries will be received from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Flowers received after 10:30 will not be judged. Judging will be from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Entries must be left until 6 p.m. All flowers must be grown by 3xhib:tor (except in artistic arrangements.) ar-rangements.) All eitries must be checked by receiving committee. Entries must be prepared by exhibitor ex-hibitor and will be plated in correct cor-rect s.'ciion by committee. Entrants must bring own baskets. bas-kets. vn 3. and spcoi.il d:splay containei"s. The show committee assumes no responsibility for loss or breakage but every precaution will be taken to protect them. All exhibitoii, must attach entry I card to each specimen. Flowers .must be named correctly and pre- ference will be given named specimens speci-mens in close decisions. Exhibitors will be excluded from room during judging. The judges will award such prizes as the exhibits deserve. The decision of the judges are final. Classes will be judged by the point scoring system of the national council. First," second, and third-place ribbons will be awarded in each classification one sweepstake in each section and one grand champion cham-pion award. Special awards will be given all juniors (ages 1-15) entering specimens speci-mens or arrangements. There will be twelve sections including in-cluding tulips, daffodils, or jonquils, jon-quils, hyacinths, pansies, perennials, peren-nials, house plants, artistic arrangements ar-rangements using spring flowers, junior, artistic arrangements of dry materials as well as arrangements arrange-ments in unusual containers, corsages, cor-sages, and miniature arrangements. arrange-ments.
