PRICE Utah Board of Advisors Chosen By Mountain States Telephone AUtah Board of Advisors has been elected to assist The Mountain Moun-tain States Telephone Company in directing the rapidly expanding expand-ing telephone operations in the State, according to an announcement announce-ment made recently by Eric A. A.aberg, vice president and general gen-eral manager of the company. The business experience of the members of the new board will help the Telephone Company keep abreast of the expansion plans of businesses and communities thru-out thru-out the state, and to schedule adequate communications to meet requirements. Utah businessmen who will serve on the Utah Board of Advisors Ad-visors are Lawrence F. Blac't. Stapley, a member of the Quonim of Twehns of the LDS Church and also a member of The Mountain States Telephone Tele-phone Company's Board of Directors. Direc-tors. Eric C. Aaberg will serve as Chairman of the Board and Franklin D. Sawyer, assistant vice president, will be secretary. Mr. Aaberg stated that the experience ex-perience and broad background of these well-known business and civic leaders will be of great benefit -to the telephone industry. "We are glad to have them "associated "as-sociated with us in our Utah telephone tele-phone operations." Lawrence F. Black is a graduate gradu-ate of the Carnegie Institute of Technology and the Harvard Advanced Ad-vanced Management School of Business. He has been with the United States Steel Corporation for 35 years. The operation of the steel mill at Provo, the iron mills at Cedar City and the coal mines and coal washing plants at Dragerton and Wellington are under his supervision. In addition to many other community and civic activities, he is president of the Utah Safety Council. W. Rulon White is a native of Willard, Utah. He is engaged in the manufacture of concrete products pro-ducts and in addition owns and operates one of the largest fruit . farms in the State. He is currently current-ly president of the Ogden Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce, former Mayor of Ogden and is very active in civic and business affair's thru-out thru-out Utah. Howard W. Price is a native of Salt Lake: He began his career in 1929 as an office boy for Salt Lake Hardware Co. and continued his edication by taking night extension ex-tension work from the Univei'sity of Utah and the LaSalle Extension Exten-sion University. He graduated with a degree in Accounting in 1936. His civic interests have spanned all phases of community activity including that of president presi-dent of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce and Manager of one of the largest wholesale businesses business-es in the Intel-mountain area. |
