Show ' i l :'-i ' - WALLACE SALING JR. . . . Leaves for service Wallace Saling to Leave for Active Service in Air Force 2nd Lt. Wallace M. Saling, Jr. a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace M. Saling, Pleasant Grove, will leave for Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, Flor-ida, Sept. 1, to enter active service ser-vice with the U.S. Air Force. Lt Saling will travel by automobile auto-mobile to the Florida air base where he will enter 20 weeks training train-ing in interceptor comptrolling. Upon completion of training he will receive a duty assignment at one of numerous stations throug-out throug-out the world. Lt Saling was gTaduated from the Pleasant Grove High School in' 1952. He attended Brigham Young University for two years, and then accepted a call to serve as an LDS missionary in South Africa. He returned to the BYU after 'his mission to complete work for a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. He was graduated from BYU in June of this year. While at BYU Lt. Baling was active in the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps, a four-year four-year course leading to a commission commis-sion in the Air Force Reserve. During Dur-ing his senior year in ROTC, Saling Sal-ing was Information Services Officer Of-ficer on the Wing staff. He held the rank of Cadet Major. Upon completion of the program, Saling Sal-ing was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the Air Force. |
